Signs of Colon Cancer
Colon cancer is not one of the easiest things to find out
you have or not. That is because a lot of the signs of colon
cancer are actually linked to that of other colon problems.
Today we are going to talk about colon cancer signs, as well
as colon cancer symptoms. When you get done reading this,
you will know the kind of stuff that you need to look for.
However, do keep in mind that just because you have some of
the signs of colon cancer this does not necessariyl mean that
you have colon cancer. A lot of people get other problems
mixed up with colon
cancer all of the time. Thus, it is important to not jump
the gun if you are having some of the following problems.
Of utmost importance is immediately meeting with your Physician.
One of the main things to look for is bleeding from the rectum
area. A posible colon
cancer symptom is blood on the toilet paper or blood on
the toilet bowl after a bowel movement, however hemorrhoids
can also cause this problem. Do keep in mind that there are
a lot of other things as well that can cause bleeding from
the rectum. A lot of times, people get small cuts down there
that bleed. However, if you do have bleeding from the rectum,
then you may need to have it looked at to see if there is
a small cut down there or not. Another thing to look for would
be a change in your bowel habits. Please note that changes
in the bowel habits are not really caused by cancer of the
colon. However, they could be changes in the colon
that could be leading to colon cancer. For example, if you
have diarrhea that lasts for more than two weeks, then you
should contact your doctor. Not only that, but if you are
constipated and can not have a bowel movement for two weeks,
then you need to talk to your doctor as well. Pay attention
to your stools. If they are a lot narrower than what your
stools should be, then your colon may be blocked.
Some other signs of colon cancer could be pain in the abdomen
or rectum area. Maybe you are having a discomfort or a sharp
pain in this area. Of course, this kind of thing can have
almost an unlimited amount of causes. Thus, that means that
you should not jump the gun and think that you have colon
cancer right away. Once aging, that does not mean you have
cancer! However, you may want to make an appointment to see
your physician. Another common problem could be unexplained
weight loss, as well as a unusually low red blood cell count.
A lot of people also get a yellowish coloring under the eyes.
There are a lot of signs and symptoms that you can look for,
but not all of them mean that you have colon cancer. A lot
of these are just things that can happen after you get colon
cancer. So be sure to look into what other problems could
be as well. Sometimes you are going to find out that you do
not have colon cancer at all, and there is nothing to worry
about. |
