Spastic Colon
As you can more than likely tell from the name, colon cancer
is a type of cancer that is found in the start of the large
intestine, or at the end of the colon (which would be the
rectum). Most of the time, colon cancer is called colonectal
cancer, but there are other names for it as well. A lot of
times, people just call it colon cancer today. Now we are
going to talk about what some colon cancer symptoms are. After
these colon cancer signs, we are also going to talk about
what can cause colon cancer in your body.
First of all, you need to know that everyone can get colon
cancer. However, there are some people that are more likely
to get it than others. For example, you are much more likely
to get colon cancer if you have a history of colon cancer
in your family. Not only that, if you are a person that has
breast cancer or you have a history of breast cancer in your
family, you can get colon cancer. In fact, it should be pointed
out that it is easy to get colon cancer if you have cancer
anywhere else in your body, meaning that if you have other
kinds of cancers, it's a good idea to keep a look out for
colon cancer. People who eat wrong could be at risk for colon
cancer as well, people who eat high fatty food and low fiber
diets. Also, if you eat red meat all of the time. People who
smoke are also at risk for colon cancer.
The colon cancer symptoms can be very common, and just because
you have these symptoms does not mean that you have colon
cancer. However, if you do have some of these problems for
a long time span, then you should go see your doctor. If you
are a person that has blood in their stool, or you have diarrhea
and/or constipation. People who notice that they have
narrow stools or unexplained anemia. Other colon cancer signs
could be a weight loss without a known reason for it. It is
important to also note that with a proper screening, you can
detect colon cancer before any colon cancer signs start. It's
also good to note that this is when it is most curable as
well.
If you find out that you do have colon cancer, do not worry.
The good news is there are cures out there for colon cancer.
Some of the colon cancer cures would be things like a colonoscopy
and, of course, sigmoidoscopy. A lot of people get very upset
when they find out that they have colon cancer, but there
are things that you can do for it. So never lose hope, because
there is always a cure. Studies do suggest that diets high
in fiber could be a good way to avoid ever getting this kind
of cancer in the first place. Thus, be sure that you eat right,
and try to stay away from a lot of high fatty foods, like
fast food. Although, it is fine to have some from time to
time.
